When I fell in love, I thought of that person constantly.. from the moment I opened my eyes to bedtime when I close them at night..while walking going to my workplace, attending Saturday class, waiting in line at the store..I couldn’t stop thinking nor find ways to stop thinking—and I enjoy that. I often find myself talking about all the things I love w/that person…yeah, even though we live kilometers away from each other..By consistently thinking of the person and put your passion and commitment—your love can defy and conquer all.I can wait, true love waits. —- This is what real love is all about.

Bilang namiss ko talaga ang pagsagot ng slam book, di ko mapigilan gumawa ngayun para sa ikatatahimik ng buong sanlibutan haha=)
well, naeenjoy ko talaga pagsagot sa mga ganto noon (hanggang ngayun). Naaalala ko pa one time, bumili ko ng BIG slam book sa national bookstore (second year high school) dahil gustong gusto ko malaman (more or less mas makilala) ang aking crush na walang ginawa kundi takpan ng malaking bimpo ang kanyang test paper kapag may exam o quiz..
naalala ko nun, tamad ako kumopya ng libro o lecture, pero once na nagsasagot na ko ng slam book binibigay ko ang pinakamaganda kong penmanship para masaya nilang nababasa yun..mga 50x yata ko sumagot ng slam book (simula grade 4; 1st year college yung last)

during spare time: basa basa lang, mall (kapag sinabi kong mall as in kaya ko magstay during the whole mall hours, internet surfing, pretty much, doing my hobbies =)

vanity: nung college sobrang vain ko (super) tipong evry subject mg-ccr ako maghihilamos tpos mgaayos..sabi nga nila sa testimonials (friendster) kapag di ako vain hindi nako ‘to. ngayun..di na masyado..pero gusto ko uli maging vain yung tipong monthly medical facial, clindamycin T, moisturizer (day and night) etc. bilang tumatanda na ko =)
goal: i don’t set limits on my self. gusto ko magwork abroad. makapagpatayo ng bahay for my family, makatapos ng MAN, PhD at MSN..gusto ko makapagtravel at matutunan ang ibat ibang cuisine like japanese, chinese, french, etc..makapagpublish ng sariling book..

What’s Love When I Was Younger?
I was checking my slam book which i bought almost a decade ago, there was an entry there from my classmate Odette

Odette: LOVE is like a POISON that kills a person.
I won’t forget the time when I was at the National Bookstore, looking for a perfect slam book that asks most of the important questions I want to know about my classmates, my friends and my crush—what is love?, who is your crush?, describe your crush? Unfortunately, most of their answers to “who is crush” were either out-of-this-world descriptions like “red lips, chopstick; chippy or just simply answered it with the most hated yet intriguing word “secret”..(haha, isn’t depressing, right?). And most of them defined love as..i dunno exactly how they perceived such thing nor what they were thinking of about—it confused me, really.They were like, comparing love to material things like rosary (full of misery), poison (that kills a person), is key (to happiness) and the weirdest so far,” fairy”.

Real Steel — A Movie Review
This is just one of the great movies I have missed to watch in the movie house —-but THANKS to pirated (bluray) DVDs for always being there (you literally know that certainly —as in “being there” even along the streets hahahaa)
This is an American film which was directed by Shawn Levy—who was one of the main producers of the movie as well (by the way, thanks to Google haha). The main characters were Charlie (Hugh Jackman) and Max (Dakota Goyo; my favourite character here). The story, as the title implies, is based on the short story “Steel” by Richard Matheson. The plot was based on an idea that “in 2020, humans have been replaced by robots in boxing”.
Charlie was a former boxer who owns a robot by the name of Ambush. He made a deal with Ricky, a selfish and greed promoter to compete Ambush with a bull named Black Thunder. The robot was completely destroyed and having made a bet that his robot will win the game, Charlie owes Ricky money but unfortunately doesn’t have the fund to pay—making the former to leave the rural fair.
Max, on the other hand is on his school age years. He is the son of Charlie on his teenage girlfriend who died early. Max is living with his aunt and uncle but during that time, there was still an ongoing hearing for them to have the full custody of Max. Charlie, who has no guts and will to take care of Max, chose to let his relative to take care of him—- on the condition that he will pay an amount as an exchange and that he will take care of Max for a couple of months while having their second honeymoon.
The whole story showed how Charlie and Max became much closer and attached with each other. Together, they built, dreamed and made up the days they missed by creating robots. They have competed with different robots and they lost—-but never quit. And later, they were able to make a robot that will eventually change their lives and pretty much, will reflect their dreams and bond as a father and son—they named it Atom.
In the middle part of the movie, Atom was winning a lot of games already including the battle against the robot Twin Cities. Kevin (the promoter) suddenly attacked them, and stole their winnings. Fearing that Max will be in danger and that he would not be able to give his son a better life, Charlie decided to return him to his aunt. Max got upset by the fact that after all that they have been through, his father still doesn’t want to stand up and fight for him—-as a father. Charlie’s current girlfriend cajoled him to continue fighting and not give up Max. The movie ended up after the remarkable fight of Atom against the World Boxing Robot champion, Zeus who was built by a Japanese inventor, Mashido. The judges announced Zeus as the winner but Atom was awarded as the “People’s Champion” because the reputation of Zeus was tarnished.
I will never forget this movie as this reminded me how much my father loves me as well as my siblings. It was a typical feeling after watching an inspiring film to cry. But this is one movie that you will treasure for a lifetime—-its influence will never stop after it was played. I was mesmerized by the characters most especially Max. He has a strong personality at his age and he really made me realize how important it is to fight for my views in life and how essential it is as well to stand up for my family—even during the midst of trials and problems. There was one line that Max said during the transformation of the story to climax—“I WANTED YOU TO FIGHT FOR ME.THAT’S ALL I’VE EVER WANTED”.
I will recommend this film to everybody just what I did way back in 2007 for One More Chance because of 2 main reasons: 1. you are a son/daughter of your parents and 2. You will soon to be a parent. And this is not a movie that obviously tackles about a family but it contains such lesson to pounder. It has lessons and values beyond what a common self-help book could tell. Technically wise, the movie was well created with heart-stopping sound effects and mouth- dropping scenes—so it’s a MUST watch film =)
Imagine yourself few years from now—-how far can you go to fulfil your dreams for your self and for your family?
A love Story..
This story is not mine and I just read it today..It was shared by my former classmate in college Keithlene. I found the story very touching and heartfelt.I hope you guys will like it too.
